Q. Can I own the System, rather than Tangent owning it?
A. Yes, but that would require a capital expenditure and Tangent would not be involved. Another approach is for the customer to take an equity position in the installation. Tangent has the latitude to enable the customer to have partial ownership for the installation providing it with renewable power. However non-profit organizations may not have an equity position.
Q. Can other forms of renewable power be used?
A. Yes. However, the geography in the Mid-Atlantic States lends itself more toward solar than other renewables. That being said, if it makes economic sense to use a different renewable source or combination of sources, Tri-M will incorporate them into the design and financing.
