Design / Build

Tri-M has over 23 years of experience as a business with a wide array of HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, automatic temperature controls, integrated systems, validated systems, card access systems, close-circuit TV systems, and security. This extensive experience, and our performance in installing and commissioning systems has led many of our customers to work with us to develop system designs directly, thus saving on outside design firm fees. Capabilities include scope preparation, CAD design, sequence of operations, point lists, full hardware and software specifications, system budgets, system mock-ups, and Graphic User Interface design. Our capabilities also extend to analyzing problems with other manufacturer’s Building Automation Systems, and to help determine alternate paths of expansion for existing systems.

Facility Evaluation Services

NON-ANDOVER BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEMS EVALUATION
A common complaint of Facility Managers is the proprietary nature of today’s building automation systems. While this may not be a problem if you’re satisfied with the products and services provided by your BAS vendor, it can be a nightmare if you are not. This problem is further aggrevated by the fact that in many cases you are stuck dealing with a single branch or supplier in the local area for systems and service. This can ultimately lead to overpaying for underperformance, with a resulting great deal of frustration. So what can you do about it?

Tri-M has over the past several years developed technical skills with many of today’s BAS manufacturers, and can provide both direct technical assistance as well as repair services for many of today’s systems. We can also advise you as to what other alternatives exist with regards to expanding the system or integrating it with other products. Call or email us for a no cost, no obligation consultation.

ENERGY USAGE EVALUATIONS
Other than lease or mortgage fees, energy usage is usually the single largest expense of a facility. So why is it frequently ignored as part of facility automation and control strategies? The answer generally is rooted in three causes – first, it is usually ignored in the design process of the building in order to reduce up-front cost of installation; second, it is generally not in the forefront of thought in the up-front design/specifying process; and third, few controls companies have the expertise to analyze how utilities bill their customers, and can develop software strategies to take advantage of the billing methods to minimize energy costs.

Tri-M possesses over 20 years of experience in performing energy analysis, and implementing successful savings strategies for a variety of building types. We can perform energy audits of facilities to determine what actions and strategies can be implemented to reduce energy costs (and what the associated savings will be), and plan of action to make it happen. We have developed and implemented strategies that have proven results. Call or email us for a no cost, no obligation consultation.

Panel Fabrication

Tri-M’s panel fabrication capabilities are a key component of our quality control efforts. All control panels for systems designed by Tri-M’s engineering staff are fabricated in our on-site panel shop. This fabrication includes all input and output devices, Andover controller mounting, all internal wiring, all wireways, transformers, fuses, and terminals. The panel is tested for proper operation before being released to our installation personnel for field wiring. This fabrication process allows us to ensure panels leaving our facility are 100% correctly configured, designed, and wired – which simplifies the field installation process and leads to a highly successful system checkout and startup.
